Choose T.R.U.E. Project

With so many differences in the world, one thing that is common: We all have a story. We construct our own realities and stories. We also hold the power in how we talk about those realities and stories. 

An organization deeply rooted in giving Black women and girls a voice, the Choose T.R.U.E. Project envisions a community in which Black women and girls are empowered and supported in telling their most powerful stories and living a life that is transparent, resilient, uplifting, and evolving (T.R.U.E.). The Project was created in 2017 as the Founder wrote about her challenges around career, love and self-exploration. Throughout the years, many Black women shared their stories and thus made the Project grow beyond its wildest dreams. Choose T.R.U.E. became a nonprofit in 2020 and have created several authentic and transparent spaces for Black women to bring their diverse lived experiences, promote knowledge sharing and give practical and tangible takeaways to apply to every aspect of our lives, which include A T.R.U.E. Conversation and The Money Power Respect Digital Summit. 

We are a Board of six Black women who navigated these past two years to create compelling programs digital initiatives for our community with the ultimate goal of making every Black woman feel seen. To continue our programming and the need for more staff is key for us to grow and fulfill our mission and vision.
