Girl Talk 1 on 1 is more than just an organization; it's a movement. Founded on the belief that every girl deserves the chance to become her best self, Girl Talk 1 on 1 is a Black-led nonprofit committed to teaching young girls to advocate for equity and empowering them to take on the world with confidence. Our mission is clear: to serve adolescent girls and the community by providing them with the tools they need to develop into the change agents of tomorrow.

At the heart of our mission is the idea that personal and professional development is key to unlocking a girl’s full potential. Through our annual conferences, workshops, and mentorship programs, we encourage girls to embrace themselves and their unique qualities. We help them recognize their strengths, build unity among diverse groups, and learn to respect one another, all while advocating for equity in their communities. 

Our impact speaks for itself. Over the past 15 years, we've hosted more than 15 annual conferences, reaching over 2,100 girls in South Florida. We've seen firsthand the transformation that occurs when a girl is given the support she needs. In recognition of our ongoing dedication to the community, Miami-Dade County proclaimed January 11 as Girl Talk 1 on 1 Day.

But our work doesn’t stop there. For the past 7 years, we’ve been thrilled to offer annual book scholarships to high school seniors, awarding over $5,000 in scholarships. These scholarships are more than financial aid; they are an investment in the future of these young women, enabling them to pursue their dreams and further their education.
