Please Adopt My Senior Year - Pamsy

The vision of PAMSY is to support high school seniors in paying for their final year of high school expenses such as yearbooks, senior trips, cap/gowns, parking spaces, college application fees, and more. PAMSY became a nonprofit (501 c3) to honor the memory of Senora Pamela Hunt and her legacy. Pam was a high school Spanish teacher at Hylton High School in Prince William County, Virginia. Her passion was teaching high school students the Spanish language and, most importantly, teaching her students to love the Spanish language and culture as much as she did!

In 2017, Pam passed away after a 9-year courageous battle with breast cancer. At the time, her oldest son was a Junior at Hylton High School preparing for his Senior Year. At the beginning of his senior year, Pam’s sister began to recognize the high cost of a high schooler senior year. Although their family was fortunate enough to be able to afford the expenses, she quickly realized that not all families could - that’s when PAMSY (Please Adopt My Senior Year) began!

PAMSY’s inaugural support of high school seniors started at Hylton High School with the purchase of just one yearbook for a senior who could not afford the cost. Over the past 7 years, PAMSY has purchased 3 - 5 yearbooks per year, obtained its official 501 c3 status, and partnered with several other high schools to purchase and donate yearbooks for high school seniors.

We are excited about expanding our stewardship by partnering with high schools nationwide, adopting high school seniors, and providing financial support for their entire senior year through your donations and future fundraising events.
