Black & Pink National: Give Out Day 2024

Join the Fight for Freedom and Justice for LGBTQIA+ and HIV+ People Impacted by the Criminal Justice System

Since 2005, Black & Pink National has been a powerful force for change. We fight for liberty and justice for LGBTQIA+ and HIV+ individuals caught in the prison system. We don't just talk the talk – we redefine how support services work for formerly incarcerated queer and transgender people.

Here's what your support makes possible:

  • Groundbreaking Research: We partnered with the Vera Institute to launch the first-ever study quantifying the experiences of transgender inmates across the US. This data fuels crucial reforms!
  • National Support Network: Our chapters provide vital, local aid – from prison visits to community bail funds – empowering our members on their journey to freedom.
  • Lydon House: This nationally-recognized program in Omaha offers safe, supportive housing for LGBTQIA+ citizens returning home after incarceration.
  • Opportunity Campus: We're building a future! This hub will empower the Queer BIPOC community in North Omaha, providing essential resources and fostering a thriving space.

Black Transgender Lives Matter:

While Black transgender people make up less than 0.5% of the population, they're disproportionately targeted by the criminal justice system. We fight for their freedom and ensure access to vital resources for all our LGBTQIA+ community members navigating the path beyond bars.

Together, we can change the system. We can't do it without you.

Donate today and help Black & Pink National continue its vital work!
