The Atlanta CARES Mentoring Movement, a nonprofit organization, engagescompassionate adults to serve as mentors, tutors, and advocates for children, fostering their academic achievement, social-emotional development, and self-confidence. Oursteadfast commitment lies in equipping youth with essential career and work readinessskills. We are dedicated to guiding them toward high school graduation, ensuring theyare fully poised for post-secondary education, and adeptly navigating the pathways to asuccessful career.

STEM CAMPAIGN

Central to our mentoring and tutoring efforts is our dedication to creating opportunitiesin STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, acknowledgingtheir immense potential to unlock pathways to success, prosperity, and long-termsustainability. The overarching goal of our STEM Campaign is to prepare youth forhigh-wage STEM careers by providing them with the necessary support, guidance, andresources to build intergenerational wealth.

The cornerstone of our STEM outreach is the annual STEMfest Youth Conference, adynamic gathering that brings together middle and high school students for an immersive day of exploration and discovery. Through engaging workshops led by STEMprofessionals, educators, and entrepreneurs, participants not only gain invaluableinsights into various STEM disciplines but also have the chance to experience firsthand the excitement and possibilities these fields offer. The conference features a captivatingperformance by a STEM magician and a series of hands-on workshop sessions tailoredto ignite curiosity and passion in the next generation of STEM leaders.
