What we know:
1. HIGH-POVERTY SCHOOLS ARE 2.1X MORE LIKELY NOT TO OFFER INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS THAN LOW-POVERTY SCHOOLS
2, 30% PARTICIPATION GAP BETWEEN CHILDREN OF LOWER AND HIGHER INCOME FAMILIES
3. STUDENT-ATHLETES ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET HIGHER GRADES AND ASPIRE TO ATTEND COLLEGE.
4. $101-$500 ANNUAL PARTICIPATION COST FOR THE MAJORITY OF YOUTH SPORTS
What we dream of:
1. Offer a robust interscholastic sports program to our scholars, particularly sports low-income families typically do not happy access to (golf, baseball, etc.).
2. Introduce scholars to sports at an early age to inspire and motivate.
3. Expose our scholars to coaches that are experts at their craft.
The funds will be used to:
1. Cover costs of field rentals, equipment, and uniforms.
2. Stipends to coaches.
3. Registration fees for tournaments, league fees, or other associated costs for participation.
